The Ultimate Guide To Sprucing Up Your Bedroom

Hey my lovelies, today i am back with a post all about bedrooms and how to jazz yours up and keep it organised. We are in the process of decorating our master bedroom at the minute, and if you follow me on social media you will know I have been having a nightmare deciding on wallpaper, so hopefully I will find some more tips and tricks along the way. This post is kindly sponsored today but as always, all opinions are my own.

Bedrooms are one of the most important rooms in the home. After all, we sleep in them, relax in them and many of us get dressed and do our makeup in them as well. What that means is to be effective our bedrooms need to be multipurpose spaces and look good at the same time. The good news is achieving all of these things isn't as hard as you might think. Indeed you can get some helpful suggestions in my post below.

Make sure you have enough storage

First of all, no matter how beautiful your bedroom is, if you don't have enough space it won't stay organised and will always look a mess. Unfortunately, ensuring that we have enough storage to keep our clothes, shoes, and makeup organised can be tricky, especially if you have a bedroom that is on the small side or that isn't shaped regularly.

Happily, there is a solution to this problem, and it's to have a built-in wardrobe installed. The benefit of this type of storage over freestanding wardrobes is that they maximize the space you have down to the very last inch. They can also be custom-built to fit any shaped room, which is an added bonus!

Go for neutral shades on the walls

Next, if you are looking for ways to spruce up your bedroom, be sure to steer clear of accent wallpaper. It's not that it can look great, but the problem is it takes a lot of effort to put up properly, and once it is up you are stuck with it for the long term.

Instead, it's always better to opt for neutral painted walls. Indeed, there are many advantages to this approach including that it's often cheaper and easier to do than wallpapering. Also, the big seller for neutral walls is that they will pretty much go with everything. Something that means you can go as crazy as you like with textiles.

Make your mark with textiles

Bedrooms need textiles in the form of sheets, duvet covers, pillows case, curtains, throws, and cushions. The amazing thing is that you can get matching sets with up to the minute designs for a very reasonable price these days. In particular, check George at Asda and Primark for striking bedroom textiles that will give you the perfect look.

Alternatively, why not visit sites like Redbubble or Spoonflower where you can upload your own designs for bedding, and blankets and create a customised approach?

Don't forget the flooring

Last of all, be sure that you don't forget to overhaul your flooring when you are sprucing up your bedroom. After all, a decent floor can really lift the entire space and make it seem clean and well finished. Many people like carpet in the bedroom because it's warm on their feet if they have to get up and go to the loo at night. However, wood flooring can also be a fantastic choice, as it's easier to keep clean, and looks super cool too.  There has been some great tips in this article and I am definitely going to keep thinking about the neutral walls and paper aspect,

Bedrooms are fun to design aren't they!

Till next time lovelies

Take care and stay safe

Ali
