Hey lovelies, today I am back with a roundup of the Debenhams Spring Summer 17 press day. Sit back, and prepare to write a wish list of all the beautiful pieces you're going to lust over.
When the email from Kelly and the team popped through to invite me to the SS17 press day, I was quickly thinking about all the stunning pieces I was going to see. Last Tuesday, the 31st January, I met up with lots of my lovely blogger girls at Belfast Central, where the fab Belfast Mini Coach was waiting for us all, to chauffeur us down to Dublin. You can check them out here. Debenhams had kindly sent Tracey Sharkey one of the management team from Debenhams in Rushmere Shopping Centre to accompany us down. Tracey made us all feel so welcome, and is a total asset to the Debenhams team.
After a great journey down full of laughs, we were dropped off in central Dublin, where we headed to the Debenhams on Henry Street. Now, you all know how much I adore Debenhams, I couldn't get over the sheer size of this store, it's definitely one I will be heading back to soon. We got to meet the lovely Kelly from the PR team and again we were all made to feel so welcome. We were treated to some lovely pastries and fruit and had some time to shop.
We all made our way to the stunning Pillar Room in the Rotunda Hospital, and after a few wrong turns, giggles and questions we found our way. The Pillar Room is stunning, and a really unique place to hold a fashion show. The Balm Cosmetics were the beauty partner for the event, and the girls were all on hand to show us some of the new range including their new powder foundation, which I must admit looks fab, and their new face palette which is soo pretty. The girls were very helpful and it was a lovely addition to the evening. Gunpowder Gin was the drink of choice for the evening and I must admit, I am not a huge fan of gin but this one was lovely and refreshing.
There were 5 different scenes for the show:
Make A Splash
Say I Do
It was a really great mix of pieces and looks, and gave us all a feel of what is to come for SS17. The Athleisure section was stunning. Sportswear has come such a long way from just something you threw on, now you can look fab and put together but still feel comfortable.
Make A Splash had some stunning beachwear and a lot of pieces to suit a range of bodyshapes which I loved.
The embroidery section was simply stunning. I love this trend as I think it can really bring a piece of clothing to life and it's a nice simple way to incorporate something on trend into your wardrobe. The last two sections of the show were just beautiful.
The Garden Party had the most stunning, flowy feminine pieces and definitely perfect for any type of Spring occasion. The finale was the Say I Do range and it blew us all away. Bridal-wear and occasion wear at its finest for sure.
Thanks to Kelly, Emma, Tracey and all the team at Debenhams for making us all feel so welcome and allowing us to have a wonderful evening. Thanks also to the team from Belfast Mini Coaches for the smooth journey.
I hope you have enjoyed this post and you all pop to your local store or online here to see all of the beautiful pieces to come.
Till next time lovelies
