Hey my lovelies, I hope you are well today and loving this fab Irish weather at the moment.
Boots NI recently celebrated their 50th anniversary and I was honoured to be asked to celebrate the big birthday in the Europa along with some of my other fab NI blogger friends.
When they opened their first store here, David Jones became Bowie, miniskirts were all the rage and Boots was about to change the way we shop forever.
So onto the birthday bash...
We were greeted with big smiles and stunning canapés. The Europa is one of those places, who really know canapés well and after a few treats, we all started to mingle around the stands. There were so many to look at and there were a few that normally I wouldn’t approach, so this gave me a really good chance to chat to them and learn more about their brand.
Brands included, Bumble & Bumble, Smashbox, Benefit, Clinique, Liz Earle, Elizabeth Arden and of course No7 and they all gave us some fantastic information and couldn’t have been more helpful.
No7 talked to us about beauty through the ages and it was fantastic to see how they have grown from their most popular lipstick in the 60’s gay geranium which can actually still be bought, up to their groundbreaking clinically proven Protect and Perfect intense Advanced Serum.
Special mention must go to the team with Elizabeth Arden, with whom I got a little taster session of their oxygen blast facial, where active oxygen and serums are airbrushed into the skin. My skin felt so refreshed and revitalised afterwards, so I would really recommend speaking to your local counter about that. They also gave me a gorgeous sample of their Prevage serum, which I have fell in love with!
The main thing that really stood out to me was actually how much Boots wanted to move with technology, styles and trends and they have always been at the forefront of what women want and more importantly giving us products and experiences to make us feel beautiful and empowered.
Boots to me is my one stop shop. I particularly love my local Coleraine town centre and Asda branch. I frequently get my medication in these stores, and I always feel at ease with the staff especially Shonagh and Sinead the pharmacists. The main thing for me here is that I can go in for my medication but I can get lots of other bits and bobs, which let’s be honest is just perfect!
We were absolutely spoilt at the event, and it was amazing to try some fantastic products. It’s clear to see that Boots are going from strength to strength and I can’t wait to see what the next 50 years bring.
Thanks to Jane and the team at Boots for the fantastic event.
Till next time preeners
