Review of Bomb Cosmetics Berrylicious Shower Soap

Hey everyone!!!
Hope you are all having a fab wee Tuesday!
Today I am going to do a little review of a gorgeous product from Bomb Cosmetics
I was given this as a wee pressie from a friend, who has raved about it, so was very interested to try it!

I think you would all agree how cute is this!!!!

So according to my friend it would leave me nice and exfoliated and smelling fab, isnt that what we all want!

The first thing i noticed when i opened it was the crazy smell of berries, but it wasnt an artificial nasty smell, it was pure essential oil smells. Think of a big bowl of mixed berries and you have that in a soap!
It has spongey fingers ( rather amusing) that sit inside of the exfoliating soap, so i wondered how this would work out whilst using it.

So off i trotted into the shower all excited to try this out!
I soaked the sponge area and nearly instantly there was loads of lather which i love.
I must admit the smell did get a little overpowering when i got to near the end of my shower, and it did seem to linger a long time.
In terms of exfoliation, it did an ok but i have a lot of dry skin due to meds etc, so i really think for someone who has just normal to dryer skin this would work a treat

Overall I did like this product, and it was great to get a wee treat from a company i hadnt tried, so thanks to Gillian for that!
In terms of whether or not i would purchase i honestly dont know. I know i definitley wouldnt buy the same scent, but from having a browse on the site they have loads of other scents including:

Flower
Parma Violet
Reef Reviver
  Secret Garden
Tangerine Dream
I think the reef reviver and tangerine one sound fab, so i think i might have to treat myself to those soon!
If you are looking for a company who uses amazing oils etc then i would definitley have a look on this site, I am sure youw ill find something yummy to try!

Thanks for reading, and hope you share my blog!

Love to you all

P.S keep an eye out for my monthly faves coming soon!!

Bobbi Brown Extra Repair Foundation Review

Hey everyone!!
Hope you are all fab today!
So, like all of us who love make up we are always looking for that perfect foundation, and lo and behold i thought i had found it!

Normally my skin would be oily t zone with dry patches, and an extremely dry nose, but with the increase in medication and new meds my skin had went very dry, so i really needed something more moisturising.
We were over in Selfridges in Birmingham while we visited family, and my well loved M.A.C counter was pretty busy and the girls didn't seem very interested, so Bobbi Brown was right beside it, and the girl was lovely. I told her all my concerns and she brought out a number of the ranges of foundations including the stick which I was happy to try but we soon realised it wasn't for me.
Then one of the other girls came over and suggested she tried the Extra Repair Foundation on me, I like the sound of repair i thought, so i was quite willing to try it. We matched my shade to porcelain as i am so fair i am nearly see through, and she cleansed and moisturised my skin, then proceeded to apply this, with one of their flat foundation brushes. The smell and texture was the first thing i noticed, the texture was like an amazing luxury night cream, and the smell was pretty clean and sterile smelling.
She done my whole face, and when i looked in the mirror i was pretty happy with the results, put it this way it wasn't showing any massive dry patches and had a nice dewy effect.
I wouldn't say it is a medium full coverage at all, more a light to medium. So i thought why not i will buy it and see how i go at home with it.
Off i went back to Ireland thinking i had got this fab product!!
When i first used it, I used it with the real techniques expert face brush, and i loved the way it went on. The only thing i will say is you really need to buff and work the product into the skin, to not have that masky feeling.

In terms of longevity, at the time of my very dry skin it was fab!
The only gripe I had is that it still clung to the dry patches around my nose. If any of you guys have any recommendations let me know!!

Overall here this morning its not overly bad on my face, but its not going to be my go to product, unless my skin changes again!
Excuse my eye, i really dont know what i done lol, i can assure you its not like that normally!!
My skin has since reverted back to the crazy oily tzone, dry patches and still the dry nose and slightly on my chin.
I used it on a night out last weekend, and decided to try and work it in with my fingers as suggested on a couple of other blogs, but my tzone hated it!
Back to MAC i go!
This really wouldn't be my choice for oily area as it just slides off, and doesn't work in well, but for my cheeks its perfect but It still sits on my nose badly.
Overall I do feel that for someone with really dry skin this could be the foundation you are looking for, but anyone with oily or looking a full coverage, i would steer clear.
So there you go, I am still on the hunt for the perfect foundation!
If any of you guys can help with my nose issue, please comment below
Love Ali x

Sorry for being M.I.A

Hi gorgeous peeps!!
I am so sorry there has been no posts for a couple of weeks, between sickness and birthdays and then more sickness, my blog unfortunately took a wee backseat.
I went through a rough patch with my Fybromyalgia and M.E, so i was pretty much bed bound for a few days, and had no interest in beauty products, ( i must have really been sick)
Then we had hubbys 30th surprise birthday party last weekend. What a crazy day, trying to keep a secret from him and lying to him was so hard, but i achieved it woohoo and it was a fab day!
We had a big bouncy castle which was a disco dome inside, and the big inflatable gladiator duel. We also had a cocktail slushy machine, so seeing Batman and a Top Gun hero bouncing on that was amusing!
If you read my post on plus size fancy dress, you will see that i had such a hard time picking something! In the end to compliment Scotts Batman, I got the mask and ears to go as catwoman, so i just wore black leggings, a longish black top and a whip( supposedly she wears this in the film lol) Scotts best friend from home flew over so that was fab to see his face, we had such a lovely 24 hrs together!

Then I took a bug, and trust me it wasnt pleasant. My immune system is shot to bits due to all the medication i am on cause of my epilepsy etc, so if you guys have any wee remedies to help build me up, they would be much appreciated.
So my little lady Harlequin kept me company!! For a cat she is such a loving animal!
So there it was my crazy couple of weeks, but back on track now and will be blogging about my new favourite foundation tomorrow!
